In the Aug. 24 Itemizer-Observer, (Marijuana businesses step up, Page 1A), Sol-Sisters was incorrectly identified as being part of a national nonprofit organization providing holistic health services. In the cutline on page 12A, it says the field pictured is ready to grow recreational marijuana. An attorney on behalf of Sol-Sisters said there is no intention of planting cannabis in public view. We regret the error.
In the sidebar, “What is legal in Oregon?”, Aug. 24, Page 12A, it says recreational marijuana shops won’t begin opening until later in the year. Two medical marijuana dispensaries currently sell recreational marijuana, but permit requirements will change later this year.
