FALLS CITY ROUNDUP: Girls basketball improves to 12-6 overall

FALLS CITY — Falls City’s girls basketball team defeated Eddyville Charter 43-10 on Thursday before downing St. John Bosco 45-19 on Monday.

Allison Kidd and Brittany Varney each scored 12 points against Eddyville.

The Mountaineers improved to 12-6 overall and 7-4 Casco League.

Falls City has won seven of its last eight games. All seven of the victories have come by 10 or more points.

The team’s lone setback during that stretch was a 68-25 loss to Country Christian on Jan. 26.

BOYS BASKETBALL EARNS WIN: Falls City’s boys basketball squad defeated Eddyville Charter 50-41 on Thursday before losing to St. John Bosco 48-30 on Monday. The boys and girls teams host Perrydale Wednesday (today) beginning at 5:30 p.m. before playing at Crosshill Christian on Friday. Falls City hosts Jewell on Tuesday with games beginning at 5:30 p.m.
