Dallas Lions award scholarship
DALLAS — Dallas Lions Club has awarded a $1,000 scholarship to graduating senior Troy Howard. He will be pursuing a degree in criminal justice at Western Oregon University.
OSU releases spring honor roll
CORVALLIS — Oregon State University announced last week the names of local students who made the Scholastic Honor Roll spring term.
A total of 1,017 students earned straight-A (4.0). Another 3,745 earned a B-plus (3.5) or better to make the listing. To be on the Honor Roll, students must carry at least 12 graded hours of course work.

EOU announces spring dean’s list
LA GRANDE, Ore. — Eastern Oregon University named 515 students to the dean’s list for the 2016 spring term. Qualifying students achieve and maintain a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale while completing a minimum of 12 hours of graded coursework for the duration of the term.
