Finally, we're all making hay while that sun shines.
Jerry Mentzer has his all in the barn or sold and Dave and Derek Burbank have been a huge help in getting father-in-law Paul Kovash's hay baled and into the barn.
Derek has been working for us a few days a week while also working at the Ninth Street Cinema in Corvallis to earn money for a trip to Italy this fall with 26 other students in the College of Agriculture at Oregon State University.

Meanwhile, Judy Guida, Lynda Schnekenberger, Suzanne Burbank and I joined friends Donna Wernz of Philomath, Ann Hunter-Anderson of Dallas and Sandra Pinotti of Adna, Wash., at Black Butte Ranch in Central Oregon for a week of sewing, quilting, scrapbooking, hiking and reading before we went to the Sisters Quilt Show on Saturday.

Bob and Lynda Schnekenberger will start rebuilding their home next month after going through multiple permitting processes and exploring other locales. They just couldn't leave Pedee, though, after 29 years here, where they raised their family and have many good friends.
