Fred and Cindy Clark's son and daughter-in-law, Hans and Andrea Clark, and their two kids, Spike, 6, and Saoirse (pronounced "Seer-sha"), 2, came down from Anchorage, Alaska, to visit for a week. They didn't do a thing besides visit and enjoy each other's company.
Daniel and Heidi Russell attended a conference in Roseburg last week. On the way down, they dropped Allana, Alex, Abigail and Aliyah off at Heidi's parents' house in Creswell. Her parents, Jon and Linda Hovets, also had Heidi's brother Isaac's three children, Owen, Jenna and Ava there, so all had a great time getting better acquainted with their cousins. Daniel and Heidi enjoyed it, too.
Steve and Audrey Cameron are busy with lambing season. They have six sets of twin lambs so far and one set of triplets -- and more are coming.
The family has been celebrating birthdays. Clayton and his son, Noah, hosted a "friends and family" birthday party at the A.C. Gilbert House in Salem to celebrate his seventh birthday.
Stephanie had the Barth and Cameron families up to her farm to celebrate Ana's seventh birthday and Grandpa Steve and Grandma Jenny Barth's birthdays.
Monday of spring break the family met at OMSI to celebrate daughters-in-law Jenny Cameron and Xiao Hong Lui's birthdays. After watching all the little grandchildren busy with the science exhibits, Audrey believes there are definitely some little girls who want to be engineers when they grow up.
Audrey took a trip to Astoria to connect with the Astoria relatives and welcome Chris home from herring fishing in San Francisco.
UFO Saturday at Pedee Church is canceled for April as I will be in Louisville, Ky., at an American Agri-Women meeting. We'll meet again on the first Saturday in May -- May 4, when I will show everyone how to make grocery bags out of those colorful plastic feed sacks. I invite you to join us then, to either see how or to actually make one on that day. I have plenty of feed sacks or you can bring your own, plus 1 1/2 yards of "webbing" for the handle.
Don't forget to get me your information if you'd like to be in the Pedee Community Directory. Send the information via email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
