Rempel -- 50th
LeRoy and Karen Rempel of Dallas celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Feb. 5 with an open house at the couple's home hosted by their children.
LeRoy J. Rempel and Karen K. Wood were married on Feb. 2, 1962, at Keizer Community Church. The Rev. Wayne Carr performed the ceremony.
The couple has lived in Polk County for 50 years.
LeRoy retired in 2001 as a carpenter and cabinet maker at Western Oregon University. Karen retired in 2001 as a cook at Camp Tapawingo.
The Rempel's enjoy attending church, traveling and volunteering at Mission Aviation Fellowship in Nampa, Idaho.
Their family includes Mark and Shelly Rempel of Keizer and Debbie Rempel of Dallas. They have two grandchildren.
