Larry and Nancy Wilson of Dallas will celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary Nov. 25.
The couple recently marked their anniversary, combining it with Nancy's retirement and 65th birthday, by taking an across-the-country road trip that covered eight weeks, 34 states and 12,000 miles. The couple will also celebrate with a weekend in Leavenworth, Wash., in early December and by spending Christmas in Hawaii.
Larry Wilson and Nancy Green were married Nov. 25, 1967, at Community Church in Poway, Calif.
The couple have lived in Polk County since 1986, having previously resided in San Diego County, Calif.
Larry retired in 2009 as an engineer with Qwest. Nancy retired earlier this year as a physical therapist assistant at West Valley Hospital.
Larry currently does contract work for CenturyLink and has served as a volunteer at West Valley Hospital. Nancy makes herself available to help as a physical therapist assistant on an on-call basis.
Their family includes sons Todd Wilson of St. Louis and Toby Wilson of Dallas. The couple have two grandchildren.
