Watkins -- 100th Birthday
John K. Watkins of Dallas celebrated his 100th birthday on Dec. 30.
John was born on Dec. 30, 1912, in Fallbrook, Calif. He has resided in Polk County for 30 years and currently lives at Dallas Retirement Village.
John at one time rode horses in movies and worked as a millwright. He and his late wife, Evonne, also owned a ranch in California and a motel in Depoe Bay before moving to Dallas in 1983.
He enjoys visits from his three nieces and watching TV.
