Howe -- 60th
Garold and Donna Howe of Dallas will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a party scheduled Sunday, July 28, from noon to 6 p.m. at the Meadow Creek Village Club House, 1401 W. Ellendale Ave., Dallas. Family and friends are welcome. RSVP by calling 503-871-3266.
Garold Howe and Donna Bullard were married Nov. 17, 1953, at North Howell Community Church in Marion County. The Rev. Mel Arn performed the ceremony.
The couple has lived in Polk County for the past five years, and as native Oregonians have spent 52 years residing in the state. The couple previously resided in Valsetz and Elk River, Idaho.
Garold retired in 1998 after working for Boise Cascade in Valsetz as a sawyer and jitney driver and for the city of Elk River as a maintenance director. Donna retired in 1998 after working as a dry chain operator in Valsetz and as a postmaster in Elk River.
They enjoy golfing and spending time with their family.
Their family includes Gary and Debbie Howe of Dallas, Rick and Stephanie Howe of Boise, Idaho, Mark and Dorit Howe of Dallas, Monte and Doni Howe of Dallas, Susan and Mont Boydston of Moscow, Idaho, Dale and Debbie Howe of Troy, Idaho, and Teresa and Keith Harnos of Wayne, Mich. The couple has 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
