Flea market on tap
at Rickreall Grange
A weekend flea market takes place Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Rickreall Grange Hall, 280 Main St. (Highway 99W).
A variety of vendors offering an assortment of new and slightly used items will be on hand. A few vendor tables remain available for rent.
Breakfast and lunch will be available for purchase both days.

Community members who want to learn how to stave off memory loss in old age are welcome to enroll in the "Brain Builder" class at the Monmouth Senior Center.
The program uses exercises developed and compiled by Western Oregon University's cognitive rehabilitation team, which is led by professor and researcher Rob Winningham.
Rich Ryan, a student from the WOU rehab team, will offer instruction every Thursday starting at 9 a.m. during the six-week class.
The program will start on Jan. 10, but early enrollment is encouraged. Cost is $10.

The Kings Valley Area Association is making the Kings Valley Community Center available for rental.
The historic building, located at the corner of Kings Valley Highway (Hwy. 223) and Maxfield Creek Road between Dallas and Philomath, was built in 1892 and has recently had its kitchen and bathroom updated. More upgrades are in the works.

Meals for seniors
available in area
NorthWest Senior & Disability Services offers weekday meals for seniors in Dallas and Monmouth.
Anyone 60 years of age or older and their spouse is welcome. Meals are offered Monday through Friday during January at 11:30 a.m. in Dallas at LaCreole Manor, 204 SW Walnut Ave., and in Monmouth at the Monmouth Senior Center, 180 S. Warren St.
Delivered meals are available for home-bound seniors.
A donation of $3 is suggested for the meals; advanced reservations are required.
