Christmas Cheer appreciates help
This letter is to express our deep appreciation for the Dallas School District and its support of Dallas Christmas Cheer.
The Dallas High School leadership class recently conducted a canned food drive, canvassing the Dallas area. Folks gave generously — these kids collected more than 1,000 cans. LaCreole Middle School and the elementary schools will be getting their drives underway soon, so please support them as you send canned goods to school with your kids and/or respond to a knock at the door when they ask you to help.
Simply put, without this support we could not help our local families in need. Applications are pouring in — the need is great. To those students who not only get out there and collect canned goods, but embrace the idea that helping someone in need is greater than their comfort of asking for help, being out in the weather knocking on doors or to just put aside other things that compete for their time, we thank you.
We welcome any group, organization, business or individual who wants to help Dallas Christmas Cheer. This program takes a community of people who believe in helping those in need to make it work and be successful.
On behalf of the board of directors for Dallas Christmas Cheer, we extend our deepest gratitude.
