MONMOUTH -- The body of a Keizer man who had been reported missing about a month ago was found in a field just south of Monmouth on Saturday, the Polk County Sheriff's Office said.
Employees of the farm, who had been working in the field, found Xavier Best, 29, partially obscured by tall grass at about 1:45 p.m., officials said.
Best was last seen June 9. It was determined that Best died from a self-inflicted gun shot. His family has been notified, officials said.
