RICKREALL -- The deadline to register for the 2012 Polk County Fair Talent Showcase is Friday at 5 p.m.
The talent showcase is scheduled during the annual fair, with the youth divisions on Aug. 10 at 5 p.m. and adult contest on Aug. 11 at 7 p.m. Both shows take place at the Les Schwab Stage.
Division winners will receive cash prizes:
* Division 1 (ages 1-9): first prize, $100.
* Division 2 (ages 10-17): first prize, $300; second prize, $200; and third prize, $100.
* Division 3 (adults 18 and older): first prize, $800; second prize, $500; and third prize, $200.
Polk County talent showcase winners in each division will compete in the 2012 Oregon State Fair Talent Contest.
Rules and entry forms can be picked up at the Polk County Fair office, 520 S. Pacific Highway (Highway 99W), Rickreall, or downloaded at www.co.polk.or.us/fair. For more information, call the fair office, 503-623-3048.
Entry forms can be submitted via e-mail or be dropped off at the fair office during the hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
