MONMOUTh -- Jon Tucker, director of the Werner University Center and Student Leadership and Activities at Western Oregon University, has published his second book on icebreakers.
"The Quick & Easy Guide to Icebreakers & Teambuilders" offers 69 different activities with 170 different variations.
It was created out of practice in higher education, but can be adapted for the business world, nonprofits and K-12 education. The material also touches on adapting icebreakers for individuals with disabilities.
The book is available for purchase at lulu.com. Net proceeds from sales will go toward scholarships for diverse students at Western.
Tucker has worked in higher education for 20 years, the last 10 of them at WOU. He earned his master's degree in industrial relations and human resources at the University of Oregon. In 2009, Tucker won WOU's Mario and Alma Pastega Award for Staff Excellence.
