DALLAS -- The Polk County Courthouse was evacuated this morning after someone called in a bomb threat.

Polk County Lt. Jeff Isham said someone called the Seaside Police Department saying two bombs would explode at the courthouse today (Thursday) at 9 a.m.

The sheriff's department received the word at about 8:45 a.m. and immediately cleared the building. The sheriff's office waited until well after 9 a.m. and then swept the building looking for explosives.

Nothing was found and employees were able to return to work about an hour after the call was received.

Isham said the call was traced back to a pay phone at the Safeway store in Seaside, but no suspects have been identified at this time.

A Polk County detective will be assigned to the case.
