DALLAS -- The Dallas School Board is taking applications to fill a vacancy left by Sandy Teal's resignation earlier this month.
To qualify, candidates must live within the Dallas School District boundaries and be willing to serve the remainder of Teal's Position No. 1 term that expires in June 2013. The board will screen applicants at a special meeting Nov. 5 at 7 p.m.
Interested candidates should submit a letter of interest and a resume to the superintendent's office at 111 Ash St. or email to Debbie.Green@dsd2.org. Candidates should address why they would like to serve on the board and provide the top three challenges and proposed solutions facing the district. The deadline to apply is Nov. 1 at 5 p.m.
