SEDCOR announces new president
SALEM -- SEDCOR (Strategic Economic Development Corporation), the economic development group for Polk and Marion counties, has named Chad Freeman as its new president.
Freeman replaces Ray Burstedt, who recently retired.
Freeman will lead the strategic direction for SEDCOR, working with community and business leaders throughout the region to help strengthen local industry and recruitment of new companies.
Byron Hendricks, executive board chairman, said SEDCOR is pleased to bring Freeman's experience and proven track record of success in economic development in both rural and urban regions around the state of Oregon to the Mid-Willamette Valley.
Pavilion facility now open at DRV
DALLAS -- Dallas Retirement Village recently opened its new campus Pavilion, a covered outdoor event facility, for DRV resident use.
David Parrett, DRV executive director, credits Sue Lamb, DRV Foundation development director, the foundation and resident council, and DRV staff with helping create a viable plan to build the pavilion.
The pavilion was dedicated Sept. 28, with 150 residents and sponsors in attendance.
"It was a great day to celebrate our new campus pavilion that will be used by many for years to come," Parrett said.
