DALLAS -- Tickets are on sale and nominations are being accepted for Dallas' 56th annual Community Awards Ceremony to be held on Friday, Feb. 22.
Entitled "A Garden of Excellence," the event honors individuals and businesses that have made an impact on the Dallas community. It will be held at the new Col. James Nesmith Readiness Center, 12830 Westview Drive, Dallas.
Tickets are now on sale at the chamber office. Cost is $40 per person.
The Dallas Area Chamber of Commerce, the award ceremony host, currently is accepting nominations for the 10 award categories: Business of the Year, First Citizen, Good Samaritan, Junior First Citizen, Most Improved Business, Small Business, Outstanding Organization, Ag Business, Excellence in Arts and Exceptional Family. Candidates can be nominated online at the chamber's website, www.dallasoregon.org/dacc/index.htm. Simply complete the online submission form or send in a letter of nomination to the Chamber office, 119 SW Court St., Dallas.
The chamber still is seeking sponsors for the annual event, with sponsorships available at $250 or $500.
