MONMOUTH -- Local women are welcome to a "Girls Night Out" in downtown Monmouth on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m.
The event is being coordinated by Haugen's Galleri, 275 E. Main St., and Petals & Vines, 173 Main St. W., out of appreciation for their respective customers.
At Haugen's, participants will receive free refreshments, massages and take part in a Zumba demonstration. They can also enter a drawing for a gift basket.
Proceeds go to "Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep," a nonprofit organization of photographers who volunteer their services to families who've suffered an infant death.
At Petals & Vines, customers can sample locally-made cheeses, teas and wines. A presentation on the Chinese wellness system of Feng shui is also scheduled.
Attendees can enter a prize drawing by providing a donation to the Monmouth Senior Center.
Additional businesses will be added to the list of host sites for "Girls Night Out."
