DALLAS -- The school campuses at Bridgeport and Pedee will soon officially belong to Luckiamute Valley Charter Schools.
On Monday morning, the Dallas School Board approved selling the schools to LVCS, which has been using the campuses since 2001 for a public charter school.
An agreement between the district and LVCS states the sales price as $50,000 for each school. But the prices have been discounted to $10,000 each based on the charter school agreeing to "as-is" purchases. That means any current repairs and updates needed in the buildings would be solely the charter school's responsibility.
The sale agreement calls for earnest money of $500 for each site paid on Monday and the remainder, $9,500, paid on or before a closing date of Aug. 30. The Bridgeport campus is located at 17475 Bridgeport Road, Dallas, and the Pedee campus is at 12975 S. Kings Valley Highway, Monmouth.
In addition to the sale, in June, the district and LVCS agreed to a 10-year charter extension.
