DALLAS -- Audiences in Dallas have proven time and again that this community loves Johnny Limbo and the Lugnuts.
Each year the final show of the annual Sounds of Summer Concert Series at the Rotary Performing Arts Stage downtown is packed to capacity for the classic rock `n' roll band's show.
Thursday, Johnny and his band will give a little of that love back by filming a concert video during the Dallas show.
"The band has chosen Dallas for its video project due to the fantastic energy and excitement the community audience always provides," said John Swanson, the series coordinator, in a press release. "We can expect a bigger, bolder and brighter Johnny Limbo and the Lugnuts performance than ever."
Swanson said the band is hoping for a stronger turnout and livelier atmosphere than normal for Thursday's show.
The Sounds of Summer Concert Series finale with Johnny Limbo and the Lugnuts is Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the Rotary Performing Arts Stage, located at Main and Academy streets in Dallas.
