Photos of pumpkin carving creations wanted
October 15, 2013
Are you a master pumpkin carver?
Are art museums clamoring to put your creations on display in their gallery every October?
Does the neighbor's cat run and hide when it sees you place your pumpkin on the front porch?
Is your pumpkin the envy of all the kids -- and adults -- on your street?
If so, we want to see your pumpkin creation.
The Polk County Itemizer-Observer is accepting photo submissions from Polk County residents of their Halloween pumpkin carving prowess. We will select what we feel are some of the best and publish those on our Living page in the Oct. 30 issue to help get everyone in the Halloween spirit.
Submit high resolution photographs -- we suggest not using a cellphone camera -- via email to email@example.com. Submissions must include the name of the pumpkin carver and their city of residence, a sentence describing the pumpkin or information about the carving, and a daytime phone number or an email address where we can reach the artist should we need more information.
Deadline for submissions is Thursday, Oct. 24, at noon.
Happy carving ... and Happy Halloween!
