earns top honors
DALLAS — The Dallas Area Chamber of Commerce received four 2013 Publication Awards during the Oregon State Chamber of Commerce Conference, held Oct. 23-25 in Portland.
The chamber received top honors in the Small Chamber Division (250 members or less) for its eNews, website, recruitment piece (membership packet) and community map.
The chamber was recognized for its website, which averages more than 1,500 visitors per month; the chamber’s Friday eNewsletter, which currently has more than 700 subscribers and is sent out to keep the community informed about what is happening and opportunities available from member businesses and organizations along with information on community events and chamber happenings; the chamber community map, with 5,000 copies, is distributed to local businesses as well as mailed out to future residents and visitors; and the chamber recruitment piece, the chamber’s membership packet that includes detailed information about the chamber and its community partners.

DALLAS — Lorraine Brazier, a speech language pathologist with 30 years of experience, has joined West Valley Hospital's rehabilitation services team.
Brazier provides speech therapy for adults with disorders that affect speech, language, swallowing, cognition and voice, as well as for children who may have developmental delay. She specializes in treating adult dysphagia, cerebrovascular disease, and head and neck cancers. She also treats vocal cord dysfunction, aphasia and apraxia, dementia, and cognitive-linguistic deficits.
With a physician referral, Brazier will see patients on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. West Valley Hospital Rehabilitation Services are available in Dallas and Monmouth.
