DALLAS — Dallas police officers arrested a Dallas man on multiple warrants Thursday, but not until after the suspect led them on a foot chase.
Police received an anonymous tip Thursday morning about Justin Dowell, 31, a transient living in Dallas, who the caller suspected had multiple arrest warrants. He was walking on West Ellendale Avenue when he was spotted.
When police officers approached him, Dowell fled, running through a field, a yard and over a fence before he was captured. Dowell resisted arrest and officers had to use a Taser to subdue him, but neither the suspect nor officers were injured in the incident, according to police.
Dowell was arrested on two warrants, a felony parole violation out of Polk County and another on a charge of unlawful entry to a motor vehicle in connection with a current Dallas PD investigation.
Dowell is in custody at the Polk County Jail on $10,000 bail.
