Locals qualify for Eastern dean's list

LA GRANDE — Two students from the local area are among the 531 individuals who qualified for inclusion on the Eastern Oregon University dean's list for the 2013 fall term.

Polk County dean's list recipients include: Melissa Ojeda of Independence and Tanner Yarbrough of Dallas.

To qualify, students must achieve and maintain a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale while completing a minimum of 12 hours of graded coursework for the duration of the term.

Monmouth student earns recognition

FRONT ROYAL, Va. — Lucas Costa of Monmouth has been named to Randolph-Macon Academy's president's list for the first quarter of the 2013-14 school year. Only students earning a grade-point average above 4.0 are named to the president's list. Costa is a freshman at Randolph-Macon.
