Edna Bishop
Edna Bishop, 88, of Dallas died Jan. 27 in Dallas.
She was born in Falls City to Bernard and Alma Freer.
Edna grew up in Falls City and graduated from Falls City High School. She attended business school in Salem and worked at the Dallas Creamery.
In 1953 she married Arthur Bishop. They lived a short time in Valsetz, then moved to Dallas.
Edna worked many years at Jefferson Manor and then at a foster care home.
Edna spent many hours doing her fancywork, embroidering and crocheting. She enjoyed doing her word search puzzles and listening to old Western music on her radio. She had a great devotion to animals and loved pets. Her jovial sense of humor and pertinacious manner were unique to her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Art; sister, Ruth; and brother, Don Freer.
Survivors include a stepson, Denny (Alexis) Bishop; step-grandchildren; and her extended family.
Graveside service was Thursday at Dallas Cemetery.

Frank Armstrong, 84, of Independence died Jan. 30.
Interment will be at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens in Grants Pass.

Cathy J. Crum
Cathy J. Crum, 67, of Gates died Jan. 30 in Salem.
She was born in Dallas and grew up in the area, graduating from Dallas High School. She moved to Salem in 1965.
Cathy loved the wooded paradise her and Gary found in Gates eight years ago, especially the small-town atmosphere and friendly people. She had worked as a caregiver for 10 years.
Cathy served as president of Gates City Council and served on the Mill City Fourth of July Committee.
She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, reading, camping, gardening, and collecting snowmen, owls and Santas. Cathy loved her animals, dogs, cats and wild animals, including birds, chipmunks and squirrels.
She and Gary first met at the age of 13 and couldn't stay apart for long. Cathy was his light, his strength and true love. They had been married for more than 46 years.
Survivors include her husband, Gary; sons, John Crum of Salem and Jeff (Sherri) Crum of Sublimity; sisters, Vicki (Terry) Richards of Independence, Sandy (Rollie) Kokkeler of Dallas and Toni (Denny) Weaver of Roseburg; three grandchildren; and her extended family.
Memorial service is Saturday at noon at Foothills Church, 975 Fern Ridge Road, Stayton.

Pauline Kraybill
Pauline Kraybill, 89, of Dallas died Saturday in Salem.
She was born in West Plains, Mo., where she spent the first six years of her life.
The family moved to Michigan and then to California, where she met and married Jesse Kraybill. Later in her life, Pauline moved to Dallas to live with her daughter, Loretta.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Kraybill; son, Michael; and brothers, Bud and Bill Adams.
Survivors include her daughter, Loretta (Levi) Stone of Dallas; son, Bill Kraybill of Claremont, Calif.; brother, John Adams of Oceanside, Calif.; six grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial service is Feb. 17 at 6 p.m. at Dallas Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 1961 SE Miller Ave.

Ronald "Ron" August, 70, of Salem, formerly of Dallas, died Jan. 28 in Salem.

Rhonda C. Salleng, 61, of Falls City died Jan. 29 in Salem.
She was was born in Albany.
Survivors include her mother, Alexa Ramseyer; sisters, Linda and Lexie; her husband of more than 45 years, Gary Lee Salleng; daughter, Katrina Marie (Stephen Sr.) Reynolds; son, Paul "Tony" Anthony Salleng; and four grandchildren.
Celebration of her life is Saturday at 11 a.m. at Cornerstone Church of God in Independence.

Lee Allen Ingram
Dallas - On Wednesday, February 1, 2012, Lee Ingram passed peacefully from his earthly restraints and into the
arms of his savior, Jesus Christ. While on earth, Lee shared with all who knew him, his love for all things outdoors, his passion for life, his humor, his fortitude and his love for his family.
Lee was a loving son and brother, a beloved husband as well as a patient, loving father.
Lee supported his life and family by faithfully serving the community of Dallas as a police officer for over 25 years. Lee was dedicated, hard working and the best partner any police officer could ever have.
He was greatly loved and he will be greatly missed.
Lee will be greeted on the other side by his grandparents, Lloyd and Sally Ingram and Ray and Ellen Byers, his mother-in-law Rosalie Davis and his stepmother Carol Ingram.
Waiting to be reunited with Lee are his Wife, Susan and son, Justin, father Rod Ingram, Sister Sheri Ingram, stepbrother Rick Kinsey, stepsisters Lorra Jacobs and Lynn Stone, mother Jayne Weis, stepfather Gary Weis and a whole slew of friends and relatives too numerous to list.
Visitation is planned for Tuesday & Wednesday from 2-8PM at the Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center. Please come celebrate Lee's life with us on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 1:00pm at Grace Community Church in Dallas. The family requests that no flowers be sent and that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Faith Christian School, and marked for Justin's Christian Education Scholarship, in care of Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center, who is handling the arrangements.
