David Lonzo Brown Jr., 83, of Dallas died Sept. 28.

He was born in Asheville, N.C.

Private interment with full military honors will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.

Faye LaRose Miller, 51, of Willamina died Sept. 29 in Salem.

She was born in Salem to Renee LaRose and David Leroy Lane.

Faye grew up in Salem and attended North Salem High School for a couple years before getting her GED.

Faye married Jeffery Miller and they were married for many years before she was widowed. She spent her last years with Charlie Tiddel. She had spent most of her life in Salem, Grand Ronde and Willamina.

Faye enjoyed being a homemaker. She was a book lover, which she passed on to her children. She always had a romance novel in her hand. She enjoyed bead work and doing crafts. She was always an animal lover and had many pets.

Survivors include her parents, David and Renee Lane of Salem; brother, Reynold Joseph Lane; children, David Charles Shepard and Casi and Crystal Miller; two granddaughters; and a large extended family.

Memorial service is Wednesday (today) at 11 a.m. at the Grand Ronde Tribal Gymnasium. Interment will follow at the Grand Ronde Tribal Cemetery.

Carol Jean Sedore

Carol Jean Sedore, 81, of Monmouth died Sunday.

She was born in Scottsbluff, Neb., to Emil and Carrie Rogahn.

She was married in Portland to Lewis Sedore. He preceded her in death in 2002.

Carol was a caring teacher who taught in various schools in the Willamette Valley. She loved her kids.

She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church of Monmouth.

Carol loved living on the Willamette River, where she enjoyed boating, waterskiing, gardening and crafts. She also enjoyed the coast, as well as camping and traveling with her family.

Survivors include her sons, David, Mark and Jeff (Kelly); sister, Marion; four grandchildren; and extended family.

Graveside service is Friday at 1 p.m. at Fir Crest Cemetery in Monmouth. A time of celebrating memories will follow at 3 p.m at the home of Jeff and Kelly.

Charles Eugene Shier, 76, of Rickreall died Sunday.

He was born in Salt Lake City.

Private interment will be held at Bethel Cemetery.
