PORTLAND -- Former Western Oregon University track and field All-American Bridget Johnson was appointed as the assistant commissioner of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.
Johnson, who has served as the associate head track and field and cross-country coach at Pacific University since 2008, will officially began her duties Monday.
Johnson previously served as an assistant coach at WOU from 2006-2008 after completing her career as a track and field All-American from 2003-2006. Johnson is still the all-time leading point scorer in the GNAC outdoor track and field championship meet with 115 points.
