PREP FOOTBALL: Dallas players named to All-Mid-Willamette Conference team

DALLAS -- Eleven Dallas High athletes have received postseason recognition with their selection to the 2012 Mid-Willamette Conference all-league football team.

DALLAS -- Eleven Dallas High athletes have received postseason recognition with their selection to the 2012 Mid-Willamette Conference all-league football team.

Two Dragons earned all-league second-team honors: junior defensive lineman Kaj Christensen and junior linebacker Caleb Naughton.

Receiving honorable mention from Dallas were senior Jacob Rorem (guard, defensive lineman), senior Jon Richey (tight end, defensive lineman), junior David Rebischke (running back, linebacker), senior Kade Fast (defensive back), senior Jaylon Smothers (running back, defensive back and kick returner), junior Ryan Spencer (punter and place-kicker), junior Nick Valencia (guard), senior Sam Garber (wide receiver), junior Josh Kibbey (quarterback), Christensen (center), and Naughton (running back).

Co-offensive players of the year were West Albany junior running back Jake LaCoste and Crescent Valley junior quarterback Tanner Sanders.

Co-defensive players of the year were Silverton senior Chris Garcia and West Albany junior Gabe Stone.

John Mannion of Silverton was named MWC coach of the year and Mike Fessler of Silverton was named assistant coach of the year.
