COLLEGE BASKETBALL: Western Oregon women drop pair to open conference play

The Western Oregon University women's basketball team dropped two Great Northwest Athletic Conference games on the road last week, falling 77-54 at Western Washington Thursday and 80-38 at Simon Fraser Saturday.

The Western Oregon University women's basketball team dropped two Great Northwest Athletic Conference games on the road last week, falling 77-54 at Western Washington Thursday and 80-38 at Simon Fraser Saturday.

Western Washington (6-0, 2-0 GNAC) and Simon Fraser (8-1, 2-0) are tied atop the GNAC standings.

In the loss to Western Washington, Amber Reade led the Wolves (4-4, 0-2) with 12 points and Dana Goularte added 11. Against Simon Fraser, Reade was the leading scorer again with 10 points.
