BOYS BASKETBALL

PHILOMATH 57, CENTRAL 26: Panthers drop Oregon West Conference opener on the road.

COUNTRY CHRISTIAN 46, PERRYDALE 44: Philipp Heusel and Josh Hiebenthal each scored 10 points in Casco League showdown that saw the Pirates suffer their first league loss.

C.S. LEWIS 63, FALLS CITY 43: Mounts drop Casco contest at home.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

DALLAS 49, SOUTH ALBANY 23: Dragons pick up Mid-Willamette Conference victory, improve to 2-1 in league play and 9-3 overall.

CENTRAL 40, PHILOMATH 39: Panthers hold on for huge Oregon West Conference opening win.
