ROLLER DERBY: Cherry City features four upcoming home bouts in Salem

SALEM -- The Cherry City Derby Girls roller derby league opened its season Jan. 12 and will feature four more home bouts this winter before playoffs begin in September.

SALEM -- The Cherry City Derby Girls roller derby league opened its season Jan. 12 and will feature four more home bouts this winter before playoffs begin in September.

Dates for each home bout -- featuring four different teams made up of women from Salem, Polk County and surrounding areas -- are Feb. 2, Feb. 16, March 9 and March 16.

Each bout begins at 7 p.m. at The Mad House, 1335 Madison Street NE, Salem.

General admisssion for adults is $10 in advance and $15 at the door; for children under 6, the cost is $5 in advance and $10 at the door. Doors open at 6 p.m.
