DALLAS -- Dallas High senior Mary Kate McGuire has signed a National Letter of Intent to run track and cross-country for Boise State University in Boise, Idaho.

DALLAS -- Dallas High senior Mary Kate McGuire has signed a National Letter of Intent to run track and cross-country for Boise State University in Boise, Idaho.

McGuire, the first female Mid-Willamette Conference district champion in Dallas cross-country history, placed second at the Class 5A cross-country state championships this past fall in Eugene.

She's finished fifth in in the 5,000 meters at the Class 5A track and field state championships the past two seasons.

McGuire will receive a partial athletic scholarship as a member of the Broncos, a member of the NCAA Division I and the Mountain West Conference.
