Schumaker, a senior for the Wolves' track and field team, threw a NCAA automatic qualifying standard of 154 feet, 9 inches, to win the javelin event at Saturday's Oregon Preview, ensuring a her fourth straight trip to the NCAA Division II track and field national championships.

Regan, a senior on the Perrydale track and field team, won her first 400-meter race of the season with her first-place finish in Saturday's Waldport Invitational. The defending Class 1A champion in the event ran a time of 1 minute, 5.97 seconds, about five seconds off her 2012 state championship mark of 1:00.49.
