DALLAS -- The Dallas School District will dedicate the Dallas High School gym to former superintendent, assistant superintendent, high school principal, teacher and coach Gordon Kunke during a pep assembly Friday.
The assembly begins at 12:55 p.m. and the public is welcome.
There will be a short reception in Room 103 at Dallas High School for friends and family immediately following the dedication.
The district's Facilities Naming Committee received overwhelming support and the Dallas School Board unanimously voted recently to name the high school gym after Kunke.
The public is asked to enter the high school at the athletic entrance on Ash Street. Parking is limited since the event takes place during school hours.
