Anna was born Jan. 17, 1917, in Manhattan, Kansas, the youngest child of Robert Austin Reed and Mary Emmaline House Reed. She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters. They enjoyed camping, fishing and horseback riding.
Anna greeted everyone with a smile. An avid painter with oils, especially landscape scenes, her work was shown at various Dallas Art shows. One of her paintings, completed in her 98th year, was a finalist at the Leading Age Oregon Ageless Art Contest.
Anna had a special way with horses. Even as young as 3, she could be found sitting under or on her favorite horse. That love for horses led her to be an active member of the Polk County Saddle-ites Club for many years. At various times she served as president or secretary of that club.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Dallas and served in various callings throughout the years.
