A service for Virgil will be held at the Calvary Chapel Church in Sheridan at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24. Virgil passed away unexpectedly Feb. 14 surrounded by his family.
He was born Feb. 20, 1939, in Dallas. He grew up in the Ballston-Sheridan area. He graduated from Sheridan High School in 1957. He married Jacqueline Rogers April 30, 1960. They had three children. Jackie passed in 2002.
Virgil worked at the Boise Cascade Plywood Mill in Independence for 42 years. At retirement, he was a shovel operator and Log yard Leadman. He took early retirement to care for Jackie.
He married Marianne Lenhardt in December 2003. They adopted two children.
He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a very loving man with a big heart and will be missed dearly.
Virgil is survived by his wife Marianne; children Virgil “Chip” Lux Jr., Julia Stoller, Catherine Rice, Aurora and Castiel Lux; a brother Marvin; sister Gloria; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
