Linda Ehlers Sele peacefully passed away on March 3, 2018. She was surrounded by her loved ones in Enumclaw, Wash., where she was lovingly cared for by her daughter Melodee Wesely and granddaughter Tarah Frederick during her yearlong battle with Alzheimer’s Dementia.
Linda was born in Leonard, Minn., on Sept. 16, 1937, to Carl and Hennie Johnson. She graduated from Willamina High School in 1955.
Linda was the proud wife of Gerald Ehlers for 28 years before being sadly widowed in 1985. In 1990, she mar-ried another special man, James Sele.
She leaves behind her three children Mark and Cathy Ehlers, Melodee and John Wesely, Matt and Gina Ehlers. She was fortunate to acquire three stepchildren Ron and Kathy Sele, Paula and Bob Van Elverdignhe, and Jason and Leslie Sele. She also leaves behind 19 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
Linda was preceded in death by her beloved baby son Johnny Carl Ehlers; and her two handsome husbands; and many other special loved ones.
Linda enjoyed spending time with her family, smiling, laughing, dancing, singing, walking marathons, baking Snickerdoodles and making Lefse. Linda was a caretaker and made lasting impressions on all the people she came across.
Please join us in her remembrance at Demoss-Durdan Funeral Home, 815 N.W. Buchanan Ave., Corvallis, OR 97330, on Saturday, March 10, at 2 p.m., and then a celebration of her life at Tommy’s Grill 350 SW Fourth St. immediately following the service.
