Rosalyn Preston Christopher, 91, a resident of Dallas, went peacefully to be with her Lord on Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018.
She was born on June 9, 1927, to Clyde E. Preston and Marcia E. Ufford Preston in Pendleton, and was raised on the family wheat farm outside of Helix. She graduated from Griswold High School in Helix in 1945.
On Dec. 28, 1947, Rosalyn married the love of her life, Donald L. Christopher. They made their home in Pendleton, where their two children were born.
In 1961, the family moved to Dallas, where she resided the remainder of her life with us.
Rosalyn loved the Lord and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She enjoyed her quiet times with God, and the not-so-quiet time she spent with her family and close friends.
She also enjoyed restoring her home and antiques, tracing her family tree, her cats, knitting, sewing, reading, and music, to name a few.
Rosalyn is survived by her son David M. (Lynda) Christopher; daughter DiAnna L. (Skip Mann) Christopher; two grandsons; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and countless extended family throughout the United States. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother.
A private graveside service was held at Willamette National Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Salem Friends of Felines and Umatilla County Historical Society (Pendleton).
