Democrat Paul Evans of Monmouth will represent the district in Salem’s Capitol starting in January.
Challenger Terry Ungricht, who currently serves on the Falls City City Council, defeated incumbent Amy Houghtaling and challenger Jim Partridge in the Nov. 4 general election.
Royal Johnson will take a seat on the Monmouth City Council in January after winning one of three spots during the 2014 general election on Nov. 4.

About the candidates
Eight candidates are running for four seats: Incumbents Jim Fairchild and Jackie Lawson, and challengers Micky L. Garus, Bill Hahn, Joe Koubek, Kenneth S. Mayer, Steve Pickering and Paul K. Trahan. Mayor Brian Dalton is also running for re-election, but unopposed .
