Joe Koubek, a member of the Dallas Fire Department, poses for a photo with Southwest Polk’s Engine 111, which was “retired” on April 15. Actually it was sold to a fire district in Washington. Dallas and SW Polk are consolidating equipment, including engines, to save money. Engine 111 is the first of two to be sold to help pay for a new engine.
