Annual festival returns for a second year to entertain with music, dancing and art

Music could be heard in every part of the second annual Polk Folklife festival in late October, including in the outdoor jam area, where musicians who were not part of scheduled acts could gather to play.
Audience participation was a frequent occurrence at the Polk County Folklife Festival. Here, Paradise of Samoa dancers teach “the popcorn dance.”
Arts and crafts vendors had their creations for sale in the main building at the fairgrounds Saturday. J&K Terrariums displayed living art with “air plants.”
