Pentacle hosts benefit for nonprofit
A special theatrical performance and holiday party will start at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 4 at Pentacle Theater with a reception followed by a show.
Tickets are $25, and benefit Creating Opportunities, a family-directed organization for children with developmental disabilities and their families in the Willamette Valley.

Make a wreath at Indy library
The Independence Public Library will host a wreath making workshop in two sessions on Saturday.
A session for beginners will be from 2 to 4 p.m., followed by one for more experienced crafters from 5 to 7.
Petals & Vines will be at the library to help patrons create a holiday greenery wreath. Basic materials will be provided. If desired, bring decorations to add to the wreath, clippers and gardening gloves.
The workshop is free for adults and older teens. Please attend just one session.
Share the Warmth now through Dec. 18
The Windermere Real Estate group will collect warm coats and blankets through its annual Share the Warmth campaign.
Now through Dec. 18, Windermere brokers will collect gently used coats and blankets. In Dallas, donations will benefit Jinett’s Free Clothing Closet. Donations will be received at the Windermere office, 484 NE Bovard Ave., and at the Dallas Public Library, 950 Main St.
In Monmouth and Independence, donations benefit the Polk County Warming Centers. Donations will be accepted at the Windermere office, 180 Main St.; Les Schwab Tire Center, 1710 Monmouth St.; and Monmouth Fitness Club, 165 Main St. E.
Dallas chamber seeks volunteers
The Dallas Area Chamber of Commerce has openings available on a variety of committees, including the planning committee for the annual Community Awards Banquet and the public policy committee.
